CBD Good Manufacturing Practices
Our online CBD strips are made in a FDA registered facility. The manufacturer has Good Manufacturing Practice Certificate, Manufacturing Permit, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Certification and National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Certification. Similarly, our CBD patches are manufactured in UK by a compliant GMP manufacturer.
CBD Halal Certified
CBD strips do not contain Haram (forbidden) or questionable ingredients and are fit for use by Muslims. Certified Halal under supervision of ETIMAD (etimadhalal.com).
CBD Compliance
All of our online CBD strips and CBD patches adhere to applicable cosmetic product regulations in respect to safety assessment, substance prohibitions and restrictions, responsible person identification, good manufacturing practices, notification submissions, up-to-date documentation, labelling, function claims and testing.
COSING and CBD Cosmetic Products
Per the Cosmetics Ingredients Information Database (COSING), CANNABIS SATIVA LEAF/STEM, CANNABIS SATIVA LEAF EXTRACT and CANNABIS SATIVA FLOWER/LEAF EXTRACT are approved ingredients in cosmetics. See even CANNABIDIOL - DERIVED FROM EXTRACT OR TINCTURE OR RESIN OF CANNABIS.
In accordance with COSING, cannabis leaf extracts from naturally derived CBD and Cannabidiol derived from extract, tincture or resin of cannabis are listed as permitted ingredients in cosmetic products in the EU. Similarly, the legal status of the ingredients is the same in the UK. CBD ingredient functions are Anti-Sebum, Antioxidant, Skin Conditioning and Skin Protecting. The functions can be marketed without ascribing CBD cosmetics products any medical effects. None of our CBD patches or strips are described, promoted or marketed as having any function not listed in the COSING Information Database.
CBD Cosmetic Product Notifications
Our online CBD products are notified as cosmetic products in the European Union in the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP) and Submit Cosmetic Product Notification (SCPN) system in the UK. The cosmetic products information submitted with the notifications can be directly accessed. As such, our CBD products do not include food dosage recommendations nor make any food supplement health or wellness claims. CBD in strips is sublingually absorbed when placed in contact with the mucous membranes of the oral cavity either under the tongue or between the gum and cheek. CBD in patches is transdermally delivered via the skin. As far as we know, O-Hits is one of only a few CBD online sellers that is not violating Novel Food legislation.
CBD Cosmetic Product Information File
Each of our CBD cosmetics has a Product Information File (PIF). The PIF is kept on record per Article 11 of Regulation 1223/2009. The PIF will be kept for a period of ten years from the date on which the last batch of the cosmetic product was placed on the market.
CBD Product Labelling
Labelling details include, responsible person, and the content either net weight and/ or number of individual CBD units in each CBD product. The expiration period and best by end date after opening the CBD product. Country of origin of the CBD product. Directions for using the CBD product. And warnings. For O-Hits CBD strips, warnings include not using the CBD strips if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Have a serious medical condition. Use a prescription medicine. If the packaging has been tampered with. And, emphasising that the CBD strips are only for use by adults, and should be kept out of the reach of children.
